ABOUT LY212: Law & Culture
LY 212: LAW AND CULTURE
LY212 - Law and Culture - is an elective course for students in the Law and Society Program. Generally, the course takes place in two 1.5-hour lectures per week.
The course covers the following topics:
Key concepts and theories related to law and culture;
The different ways that law and culture interact;
The legal frames and narratives that arise in everyday life; and,
The construction of emerging issues in law and legal culture.
I use a variety of assessment tools in this class, including in-class quizzes, short writing assignments, and a take-home essay. My course syllabus from this course can be found below. The teaching evaluations and student feedback will be posted in January 2023.
